E-Gold easily hacked?

Was reading a friends blog this week and his E-Gold account was hacked and he lost all his $$.

I guess if you are still accepting E-Gold as a payment method, to be extra cautius. As for me, if the affiliate's only payment method is E-Gold, then I guess I wont join it. Don't want to risk having my $$ hacked from under my nose, after doing all the work.

So I guess I will stick with payments to my Paypal account.
