Getting paid for sharing your area of expertise

I met up with Dana this afternoon and shared with her about 2 of the ebooks I have written and sold online over the last 1 year.

The first ebook I wrote was on How to get refunds from Public Listed companies and the second ebook was The Guide to Mystery Shopping in Malaysia and Brunei.

The first ebook was all about the philosophies about complaints and a collection of emails I wrote to companies like AirAsia, Carrefour and Telekom Malaysia. This ebook was sold for just RM7 or US$2 and most people who bought this ebook, have some unresolved complaints and were looking for some tips.

The second ebook and most recent was about how to get paid to shop at Body Shop, pump petrol at Exxon Mobil and eat at KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, A & W and Sushi King in Malaysia and Brunei. This ebook is priced at RM97 as with this ebook, I reveal the 2 best companies that have the most assignments and many secrets that has earned me between RM500 and RM1,500 monthly over the last 5 months.

Most people are experts in their fields, having done the same job or hobby for the last 5, 10 and even 20 years. And people are willing to buy your story, if only you can put your thoughts and experiences into the written word.

Will you try and have some hope for succees?. Well if you don't try, you have certainly failed anyway.

Selling online and in eBay successfully

How does someone trust you, especially since there are so many crooks and scammers online ?

Well some of the few tricks I have been using are:-

a) put up your real photo, so buyers can see who they are dealing with.

b) put in your contact details, so buyers can contact you for more details

c) ask for a positive feedback and detailed seller rating for every sale. Buyers gain trust from seeing you have been an active seller and have been serving past buyers well.

If a website or sale listing does not have these, I would be cautious paying money to a stranger who is afraid of disclosing who they really are. Don’t you agree?

Here are 2 screenshots showing my feedback scores for the last 12 months and also detailed seller ratings for the last 10 sales.

Trust me, it works, and people will buy from a real person, who has good feedback scores and also a good detailed seller rating.

Good luck selling online.

Moonlighting encouraged

With the recent 41% hike in petrol prices, the Malaysian government offered civil servants a chance to moonlight, to supplement their incomes.

While some are still complaining and wanting to live in the past, it's really time to move on and start your own business, so that you can maintain your lifestyle or even better, not be affected by rising costs in just about everything.

If you have read Robert Kiyosaki's Cash Flow Quadrant book, there are just 4 ways to earn money
a) being an employee
b) being self employed
c) owning a business and earning a passive income
d) earning a passive income from Investments.

Most people will jump straight into either option a - by taking a second part time / freelance job or option b - trying to start their own small business.

But with just 24 hours at your disposal daily, you are either using your time to make money or having leverage of other people's time to make money. Of course having leverage is easier.

The author of the Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T Harv Eker said this - There are only 5 ways to have leverage to earn a passive business income.

1) Royalties from being an author, singer etc
2) Earning real estate rentals
3) Internet Marketing
4) Being a Franchisor
5) Building a network marketing business.

To start the Bioslife Franchise together with the Unicity Network Marketing business costs just RM 2,400. But more importantly, your investment includes a proven global system and unique, patented, and clinically proven products, that you can use or sell at a 40% profit.

Moonlight and build your own global franchisor business or keep on complaining - the choice is really yours.

Fuel, Food, Rice, Electricity up, Earnings up too

June 5, 2008 will long be remembered as the day when Malaysians either decide to spend wisely or wise up to earn more!.

With petrol prices up 40%, diesel up 61% and electricity soon going up 18%, the projected inflation rate will increase from 3% to 8% in the very near future. How much will it affect you?.

Well everyone has 2 choices - cut back on the non essentials (if any is left) or just find ways to earn more money!. I have been telling friends all this while, use your 1 hour daily to learn a new skill and start a networking or internet business.

In 3-5 years, you could have a passive business income of a few (or tens of) thousands monthly. And with some extra money, you have more options open up to you, e.g. property rentals, nicer holidays, having your kids in the best schools or even quitting your dead end job and spending quality time with your family or doing the things you love, not the things you have to.

At the recent T Harv Eker's Millionaire Mind Intensive weekend, only 5 types of businesses that can give a Passive Business Income were recommended
1) Royalty from books, songs etc
2) Property rentals - positive cash flows
3) An automated Internet Business
4) Being a Franchisor (not Franchisee) - I am looking for Bioslife Franchisors
5) Getting in a MLM company - I do the Unicity Networking business

If you would like to explore options 3, 4 or 5, I would be pleased to share more with you on how to have fun earning some extra money from today.
